Current status and new investment area

It is time to share with the community what is going on in BasketPulse.

During the recent week we had some issues with the game's server and at some moments users were not able to login. At the moment the situation is handled but this is not fully solved and can repeat. So we advise users to avoid making important actions in the last minutes.

We also had to update the outdated PayPal integration. From now it is more flexible and faster. Also the PayPal payment method can be used even if you don't have a PayPal account - simply by using a payment card.
Big thanks to everybody who is supporting our work with BasketPulse!

In the upcoming weeks there will be design update as well. Some old design tables will be replaced with the new ones.

We understand that the community wants bigger updates, so today the new investment area was created.
We started with the one that has the least uncertainties - Coaches system update. More information can be found here: https://www.basketpulse.com/en/PremiumFeatures-investavimoSritis-9.htm

Investment area for the match engine's updates will be created a bit later.

One more investment area that we want to create is about changes in the national leagues' tournament. Users from smaller game's countries were asking for this update for many seasons. The main goals:
  • Give the ability for every country (or every team) - especially from small game’s communities - to choose if they want to have the national league.
  • Improve finances, so that there is no reason to deliberately play in lower division (at least in Lithuanian tournament some teams do like this)
We investigated the possibility to allow federations to decide if their teams should play in each country's tournament, all federation countries' tournament or in some even bigger tournament. But this approach has some issues when federations change their decisions. In this case the tournament leagues will have to be “rebuilt” anew. That probably will have a lot of unexpected issues and confusion for everybody.
Now we have another idea in mind. Instead of creating possibility to choose for the whole federation, we are thinking about creating possibility to choose for every team individually.
Basically, a new tournament will be created - “Independent national tournament” (please, feel free to suggest a better name)
At the end of season every team will be able to decide if it wants to play in the national country's tournament or in this new tournament. The teams can migrate between leagues every season, however each time they will start playing in the lowest league.

If we go with this idea, we can also review financial aspects of the national leagues' tournament and make finances more dependent on the strength of the league.
We are waiting for your comments and suggestions regarding this topic.

What do you think about instead of country's league we have a continent league (or maybe a regional league). Of course that option will not work for every place, but I think that if we divide the teams in continental leagues, we will have stronger leagues.

I just think that by looking where there's more players to hire in the free market, I don't know exactly what are the strongest or maybe more active leagues in the game.

“Region/continental” leagues would have the same problem as it is now - different strength. And if one team in that region becomes a TOP team, it would play against a lot weaker opponents.

Joining a few countries to one league has some issues I already explained in my comments above.

So far I still think that the best solution would be to let teams individually decide to leave (or rejoin from the bottom league) their national tournaments.

Just want to leave it here.
Europe has Spain (15 leagues), Greece (7 leagues), Latvia (7 leagues), France (7 leagues), Italy (7 leagues), UK (3 leagues), Czechia (3 leagues), Germany (3 leagues), Turkey (3 leagues), Russia (3 leagues), there is Sweeden and Netherlands teams too (maybe this continet should be splitted to North and South esspecially if there will be Lithuania (127 leagues))
America has Argentina (7 Leagues) and USA (15 leagues), there is teams from Canada, Jamaica, Brasil maybe teams from Africa could be included in this list
Asia main country is China (63 leagues), but there could be added Australia, Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand maybe teams from Middle East
In all of these continents I see TOP teams, there is no such thing like a different strenght in my oppinion
