How do the updates work?

Hello,

we have made quite a few changes to the game engine and we want to share their results.

What did we change?

BasketPulse deflections Home Court Advantage

We created a base home court advantage independent of the atmosphere and this resulted in increased home field coverage.

Basketpulse steals Free throws

We've slightly increased the base shooting of free throws, resulting in more accurate free throws for the lowest skill players.

Three pointers

We've adjusted the three-point accuracy based on the shooting situation, but the accuracy is still a bit higher than in reality and we're going to reduce slightly.

For FTs I'd like the experience factor to take part in key moments of the game. For example it could make that a 7 mid-range shooter with 10 exp. would have similar % at the end of the game than someone with 10 in mid-range but 5 exp. The efficiency of low post defense focus and shooter defense focus. I don't know how you would measure it, but the number of shots is greatly reduced by defense focus for close shots, comparing to 3pt shots. It's not only about accuracy.

ME update version 1.3-b.5:
- Bug fix: after a free throw, rebound usually goes to C or PF, with little chances to grab the ball for SF.
- Rebounds calibration - more often C/PF position players will fight for rebounds.
- Set plays will be done by a bigger range of players.
- After an offensive rebound, shot clock should be reset to 14s, even when there were more than 14s remaining.
- In the last attack sometimes teams started an early attack, therefore the defined tactics did not work.
- Reduced amount of turnovers significantly reduced the influence of dribbling skill. In order to compensate for that, we increased the influence of dribbling skill towards creating a better shooting situation.
- Increased possibility to repeat a shot straight after an offensive rebound.
- More often a fight for rebounds will take place in a close range.
- Decreased shooting effectiveness from the three point range. Consequently, increased shooting effectiveness from the close range.

Please, double check the match ending situations. This update was a bit risky and difficult to test.
For a few days we activate additional matches with the testing engine to all game members. Need to be 100% sure that this version can be used in the next season. -- 90 S 60 d.
