Good article! For me is not clear, why often in fast break player shooting from mid range with setting NEVER? -- 63 S 50 d.

Mirza:
Can you give concrete example? Currently during fast-breaks there are no shots from middle range.
So it should be not a fast break, but "early offence" or the shots are done after fast break is stopped (turns into positional attack).

All WL1.1 teams fight to me with man to man and fast break!:(... -- 63 S 50 d.

In this game there was always a kind of mistery about the engine, but even with some explain, the only sure is that there is a part of random in every action, in every step of the action and in the end everything Can happen -- 63 S 50 d.

I'd like to know why sometimes in the last possession of a quarter or a game, if the clock is set on 15 sec. for example, players make a shot from the other side of the court (which first is strange and second impossible due to 8 seconds violation).
Nice article.

Thanks for the information. I don't see this being a fast break really though, as you do not mention possibility of other players being ahead of the PG/SG dribbling down court and an option to shovel the pass to them if they are open. I only see reference to the ball control player moving to take the shot themselves, as in 100% of the time. This is not how Fast Breaks work in reality. -- 63 S 50 d.

TheWizardKs:
There are definitely many places to improve it.
The current fast-breaks are quite simple. Basically they are made by one or two players, usually PG/SG.

If there are more players involved, we have a different "phrase" in the game - early offence. This is attack with some passes and more players involved.

zurda10:
Well, such situations are possible in real basketball. The ball can be deflected by defender's back to another side of court. But I think it is not the case. We definitely have some problems in the ending, when not everything works as it should. This should be one of them.
-- 63 S 51 d.

Players who often participate in fast breaks or defensive breaks often get tired in the fourth quarter, but when players are tired, they do not increase his turnovers and weaken the defensive intensity. This is very confusing -- 63 S 51 d.

Bullshit! Fast breaks dont works at least last 20 seasons. I always have 2 small (170-185cm) PG with 12-13 stealing skills, 12 dribling, 11-12 speed, but they not manage to accomplish at least 50% of fast breaks (often just 10-20% are acconplished). Many of the teams are using agresive offence rebounding, but that not helps, so all this information is just a theory wich are not working in this engine. -- 63 S 51 d.

Optimistas:
Actually your complains are always similar.
Yes, you have a fast player.
But he can't shoot. If you have a player who has NEVER trained to shoot, don't expect that he will be unstoppable only because of his speed.

Similar situation was when you complained that man to man defence does not work. Meanwhile you are trying to defend with a player who has absolutely poor defensive skills.

If you have a player with shooting skills 2-4 in high division, you should expect that he will be bad in this area.

The same situation with defence. Your player with 2-4 defence against shots can't defend well...

You should pay more attention to your team instead of blaming match engine each time..

Bullshit again..! Throw in free from under the basket, you do not need 12 skill. I'm not a professional basketball player, but if my opponent is running behind at 1 meter - I always throw in at least 8 of 10. Complete nonsense that a throw from a basket under a fast break is equal big men offensive arsenal from the basket.
P.S. I had one SG with good speed, dribling and 12 close range shooting, same shit..
Nothing personal, but the fact that top teams do not use it, only confirms that this place is broken.

I agree with Optimistas. I have one small player with fantastic skill in 2 pt close range, but he do fast break the same as player with weak skill. So I dont see different in shooting skills. -- 63 S 51 d.

I agree with the last optimistas message. It is logic. The basketball is not about only the shooting skills like regie miller or steph curry. U can be not good in shooting but be productive in scoring too. If u pass your oponents behind u it should be bonus for u. In the end it seems that fast breaks in this game looks everybody runing in the same line everytime. -- 63 S 51 d.

Optimistas:
I don't say that there is equal need of this skill when you are in fast-break and in regular attack.
But, of course, you need some skills.
If you don't have skills, you will simply not be able to do it in transition. You will not be able to evaluate the possible danger from the defender behind you.

Do you think that you can pick one of the best "runners", take him to NBA and he will be unstoppable in fast-breaks?

I understand that you never agree with how the engine work. That is OK. There can be different opinions.
But it still surprises me that you simply always complain without trying to analyze and look at your team.
You know quite much about how the engine works. Try to optimize your team to play well in the current conditions.

Mirza:
Which one?

Captain:
So you think that Curry's shooting skill from close range is "2" ?
You will not find ANY player in NBA with close range shooting skill exactly the same as of 15 year old pupil in basketball school.
-- 63 S 51 d.
-- (Translate) (Translate EN)

Just to clarify here, I think what he meant was that not all productive players shoot as well as Curry, implying that while Curry's shooting skills would be very high, it is entirely possible for a player with low skills to be able to score because of his athleticism. -- 63 S 51 d.

Mirza:
Hmm, did I miss something in my "query" for statistics or did you see something not correctly?

This player made 6 fast-break shots this season in W1
This player missed 0 fast-break shots this season in W1.
So 100% in fast-break shooting this season W1.

I think this is because of I do not use fast break at all. Today I will test it, I will play again optimistas and I already set lot of fast break. We will see. In general I can all this season do tests with this, because I do not I do not fight for titles. -- 63 S 51 d.
-- (Translate) (Translate EN)

That one was good, Mirza.
You complained that your player is bad at fast-breaks.
And it seems that he is 100% successful this season.

So why do you write such "bullshit" (in Optimistas' words) if:
1. Your player is 100% successfull this season in fast breaks
2. You have no idea how he performs.
3. You don`t use fast breaks in your offence at all.

If you think that something does not work correctly, please, CHECK it before writing.
Don't write random things just because you like to criticize the game or want to support some user ;)

Darius for first I not complained about fast break! So why do you write such "bullshit" (in Optimistas' words). I don't use fast break, because in my opinion it works bad and gives more damage than benefits for my team. As I see in 1 WL fast break use only 1 or 2 teams. So maybe not only me think that fast break give damage...
You are talking about 100% success. But it was 6 time in 35 matches. Don't you think this is not enough good example? Last par of season I will test it, and we will see :)

You understand that In similar way you can say anything at all? :)
For example:
I have 220cm slow player without dribbling and he makes fast breaks exactly the same as 190cm player with perfect dribbling.

Thank you for well reasoned opinion. You should try some kind of work in politics. They like to use similar communication style ;)

And sorry if next time I will simply ignore you messages. I can`t check so "good" examples about one or another feature of the game.

a-darius your examples is just childish. When I complained that my PG i bad on man to man defense? I never using man to man if I see that my oponent have shooter PG.
Engine. I don't say that engine are totaly trash. But fast breaks are one of those areas wich not working. So I do not understand why are you using time for explanations how its works, when everyone knows that this area not working, or working in wrong way.

Žaidėjas su dešimt taiklumo 4/5. Žaidėjas su trim taiklumo 1/1. Žaidėjas su penkiais taiklumo 3/2. Žaidėjas su devyniais taiklumo 1/1. Žaidėjas su trim taiklumo 1/1 plius trys klaidos. I read the dialogue between GM and a few managers, and GM stressed that players could put the ball into the basket when speed, dribbling and close shooting skills were all available. Now I want to ask if GM, Chong Lun should be a good fast attack player. At the same time, should he not get so many offensive fouls during the breakthrough?

I may be wrong, but in reading fourkings message it appears that there may be a translation confusion. It sounds like fourkings is talking about aggressive setting but the information isn't about aggressive setting it is about fast breaks. Personally it has been extremely rare to see a player receive an offensive foul on a fast break but does come about when playing aggressive -- 63 S 52 d.

-- 63 S 56 d.

The big rilevance of experience and coaching skills its a very orribile distorsion of the engine...
