Currently quite often we hear complaints that tiredness is not working correctly in the new ME. It seems that the community would like to have more events and more turnovers linked to tiredness. Therefore, I want to explain more detailed about tiredness in the new match engine.
Earlier version of ME was criticised because teams with 7 players could win the championship. Changing this situation was one of the goals of the new ME.
Initial adjustments
During the testing phase of the new ME we had a significantly bigger tiredness effect in a single match.
However, this version was strongly criticised by the community. It was pointed out that players should not start making mistakes and be completely terrible just because they are tired.
The community also pointed out that in the real world teams often play important matches with very short rotation and these players even at the end of the matches can still play at a high level.
As these are valid points, we moved to implementing “long-term” tiredness. So we reduced the negative tiredness effect in a single match and in the same time we created “long-term” tiredness.
