Overview of 70th season

We want to congratulate the champions of 70th season!

As usual, we start the overview with the strongest league of the game - World league 1.1
Third season in a row we have the same two finalists - wudiwen and Basketballers
In the past seasons wudiwen was more than impressive - 7 gold medals in a row!
And this season this incredible series was stopped. This was the first gold medal for team Basketballers.
Basketballers also have some impressive results lately - each season he got better and better results and finally became the strongest team in BasketPulse!

The two teams that fought for the bronze medal have never been in the final four before. This was their first fight for medals in the strongest league of the game.
In a five matches series a team from USA - NW Shockwave - won their first medal against the Chinese representative Bēn bō ér bà yǔ bà bō ér bēn.

Maybe one of these clubs will manage to reach the final next season?


National U18 did not bring any surprises. The three strongest teams won the medals.
The league continues to be dominated by the China's national team, that won its 11th gold medal. This is very impressive!

National Men tournament was interesting to watch.
Even before the start of the tournament everybody expected that the final will be between China and Lithuania.
Two points difference stopped the great China's performance (three gold medals in a row) and returned Lithuanians the pride again. 

The fight for the bronze was between the two teams that know each other very well and that often fight for the bronze medal. This time Argentina won against USA by 6 points difference. This led to the 5th medal for Argentina in the last 6 seasons!

It is very interesting to see if any new country manages to fight for medals as well. Our guess is that Spain is on a way here, and after a few tournaments we might see one new country in the Final Four.

Jobs done in 70th season
  • Fair play committee (FPC) updates
    • Federations` spots in FPC updated according to their representatives' activity and fairness.
    • The required amount of votes to finish reports reduced by one vote. 
    • In 70th season many fake teams in the game were deleted. We want to remind that by cheating you risk to lose everything!
  • All remarks made by users in Match engine section have been reviewed. This was done in order to delete forum without losing the information that you collected. We do not plan to work on match engine soon, but we have quite a good list of what to start from when we are ready.
  • Migrated from outdated forum to the Discord chat.
  • New design of Team`s page has been finally included into the game
  • Game members' opinion about the game included in the game's main page (when not logged in). At the moment we have very few opinions. We'll contact the presidents of federations to get and display more members' opinions.
  • Quite a lot of small game`s issues fixed
    • Max salary the team can offer in the market now is equal to the income from the international league’s sponsor for that club. This quick fix was required because some users used fake teams to damage their competitors by making unreasonable offers in limited players’ market.
    • From the start of 70th season using scouts only one supertalent (9-10 potential) in a season can be found by a team.
    • The required amount for guaranteed pick will be increased a bit each season until 75th season. This update does not affect the FIRST guaranteed pick for a team.
    • Possibility to get 9-10 potential player over scouts will be decreased a bit each season until 75th season.
    • New confirmation page added for appointing user as holiday assistant. Sometimes users used to accidentally appoint holiday assistant, thus losing credits. The new confirmation page should help avoiding such situations. 

Plans of the game:
  • From 73rd season teams will be able to borrow only one player in a season
  • Adapt Player’s page to our new design.
  • Improve the process of FPC trade reports. FPC member will choose the reason from the list determining why the trade is not OK. These reasons will be displayed in trade’s press conference. This will help the community to understand FPC decisions better. 
  • Fix some small issues from our big TODO list.
  • Progress towards increasing the game's community.
  • Get more game members' opinions and display them in the main page of the game.

Yes, we have great volunteers! It would be great to meet at least some of you in real life. But this is not about volunteers.

That is the biggest problem. The part of the community thinks that if there are 10 people with similar opinion, we should listen to them blindly.
Almost each update is changed at least a bit based on suggestions from the community. But still you say that we have no intentions to listen to the community. We can't listen to the community blindly because everyone is looking from his point of view and the game has to be balanced for all players.
You should understand that in reality it is we who spend our weekends, holidays and few hours we have after "real jobs" working on this game and the final decision has to be ours.

I think the meaning of "both" sides is very correct. I can agree with benislovas, that very often it seems that "to do list" is getting bigger every season and you can never see the light in the end of the tunnel, but on the other hand I think that community has bacome very strict with it's opinions and sometimes forgets that their voice is advisory instead of rule or voting. I think lots of community ideas was taken into consideration about the draftsystem looking from 1st model up to present time model. So not everything is just black&white.

Anyway I think that the tone of communication should be ajusted a little bit by both sides to reach better results in game development. (less tears + more arguments) -- 71 S 7 d.

Is the scouting update applicable only to players?

Possibility to get 9-10 potential player over scouts will be decreased a bit each season until 75th season.
From the start of 70th season using scouts only one supertalent (9-10 potential) in a season can be found by a team.
