Season 103 just finished and we would like to share the highlights and the most important updates!

Champions

World League 1.1

This season the play-offs were super straight-forward, only one series did not finish in a sweep. No exception was the final were Wǒ bù pà won their 3rd straight title, beating Sun Tzu comfortably 3:0.

Last year’s finalists Minnesota Timberwolves swept Dėdė baudžia, with two of the games won in the last minute drama.

Mad Ghost (223 cm, 396 RT) of Answer has been named MVP of the season for a second straight season, averaging 11 points and 6 rebounds and 16 efficiency per game. The player has hit 30, is it his peak or can he bring 3rd MVP in a row next season?

U21 World Cup 

China started the final game against Latvia strongly, building a 17 point lead in the first quarter. However, Latvia managed to come back to the game and led by two and had the ball with 11 second to go. However, China stole the ball and Q. Geng made a buzzer-beater three to win the game 69:68 and bring the title to China once again!

Lithuania could not capitalize on identical Latvian turnover in the semifinal, however managed to show their strength in the bronze medal game against Taiwan (74:70), coming back from a 9 point deficit in the last quarter.


Kangyou Kui (196 cm, 255 RT) of China has been named MVP of the tournament, scoring 10 points and dishing out 3 assists per game. The stats line might not be super impressive, however 18+/- in only 18 minutes shows high player efficiency, which also earned him 20% higher salary on a new contract.

U16 World Cup 

China met Lithuania in the BP Classic final. Two completely different styles of basketball clashed and this time inside dominance prowed to be more fruitful than outside shooting, with China winning the title 68:62.

Hong Kong has started the bronze medal game strong and won comfortably against Taiwan 80:64.
 

Timas Dargužas (185 cm, 127 RT) from Lithuania has been named an MVP of the tournament, scoring 25 points in 23 minutes per game. Some scouts doubt his potential at the top level due to short height, can he prove them wrong?

FPC news

This season, the FPC received almost 300% more reports than in previous seasons. The past few seasons have been really difficult for the FPC, so at this point, we have decided not to make any changes to the FPC spots.

Season 103 Updates

• New feature: Ability to lock player position.

• New design for extending player contracts before the market page.

• New design for the “Hall of Fame” page and all related forms.

Match engine updates

Version 1.11

• Slightly increased dribbling influence. The players with better skill will be able to get themselves into slightly better shooting situations. 

• Slightly improved effectiveness of team defence focus "Low post".

Updates in progress

• We took the first step toward updating players' and coaches' traits. More information can be found here. Currently, this update is postponed due to higher-priority updates, but we hope to return to it this season and create a separate article about this.

• New design of Federation pages.

• New registration page. We want to give possibility to new users so that they can select and customize their franchise player - including selecting height and skillset type. Currently, experienced users who return to the game often recreate the team multiple times to get their desired player, causing several internal issues. We want to eliminate this problem and make the game more friendly for the new users.

Nearest future plans

• Update “National League Prize System”. More information can be found here. 

• Include internal updates and improvements of the game system.

• Update more old-design pages

• Gradually over a few seasons, increase the importance of the dribbling skill in different aspects of the game.

We are super happy to hear a lot of positive feedback about the changes in NLs prizepool system and we hope that the next updates will bring even more excitement to the game!
