I believe many users know the situation, but I will try to explain again.

I am really struggling with the Mach engine update in recent seasons. This is an area I cannot simply hand over to our freelance developer. It also can't be updated in a quick hour after work; even small updates require time to ensure there are no unwanted negative effects.

If I can't find a few full days to work on it during the season, unfortunately, all related updates are postponed to the next season. Finding these full, uninterrupted days is difficult since I have three small kids, another full-time job, and many smaller issues to manage on BasketPulse.

We don’t have such plans, at least for the current season. If the community believes this should be our top priority, I suggest highlighting it in the feedback we request from federations each season.

From my perspective, the entire national tournament system needs to be thoroughly reviewed. I don't think giving money to the last-place teams would solve the problem.
The prize money would still be lower than the top prizes in the lower division, and we’d continue to face the same issues. We need bigger changes to improve this area, and I don't believe now is the right time to invest our efforts here. -- 101 sez. 1 d.

We understand this is a hobby project and that you have a life to live besides Basket Pulse. What we don't understand is, why there are plans for adding individual skills when there are more pressing issues to take care of. Some of which the community has been asking for several seasons:
- making dribbling important for PG/SG/SF
- extinction of the traditional PG - everyone just seem so be playing SGs on PG position
- template teams that only shoot threes an 2C
- salaries of players in their primes are too high, the marketplace is full of great players aged 28-32 that nobody signs
These are just some of the issues, I'm sure each manager has something to add. I hope you can find time to fix some ot those and not spend time adding new features in the meantime. -- 101 sez. 2 d.

Is dribbling useless or is just nobody training it? There are no official big changes to the engine but there seem to be many chances of the best build in last seasons. I think we need more tests to see how dribbling works I can say that it helps if you have a leader player with dribbling.
Traditional PG works fine it is just a meta thing that you want to see stats and numbers on a player the thing is that traditional pg sucks at ranking but usually gets good +/- and they are seen as a risk because if they can't shoot then opponents can double defence.
I was doing some testing building team with mainly 2m shooters in youth my last season and it did underperform based on rt but I can see that there are positions, tactics and skill combinations where 2m works better than 2c or 3p. So 2c and 3p teams are just manager things, not the admin's fault.

All issues that are mentioned above aren't easy to fix and could change the balance of the game and create multiple new issues, meanwhile, new features are separated from important parts of the game. -- 101 sez. 2 d.

Dribbling is useless. I have a few players with 12/13 and the effect just isn't there. Not in the sense of fewer TOs or better shot positions. I was training it as a differential advantage. Also in my experience, comparing players with identical supporting skills and the same skill in 2M or 3P perform different in the sense that the player skill ratio for midrangers is lower than for 3-point shooters. in my observation dribbling helps with fast breaks and yes it doesn't give you a better shot position but it gives you a better shot % and also generates more fouls. I agree that shooting 2m is harder than 2m but it kinda balances the game because there is nothing scarier a player that can shoot from 2c or 3p and have decent 2m, there is literally no way to stop him because even if you focus all defence on him he will kill you from line. I also got the feeling that it is easier to shoot 2m on a comparable % to 3p from pg and pf , based on that I have a theory that tgh is more important with 2m which is why 2m shooters suck. There is no question that 2m works differently from 3p i 2c but the advantage with free throws is huge. -- 101 sez. 2 d.

Driblingas veikia? Lol. Seniau jis tikrai veikė kai prastas driblingas susidūręs su gera gynyba priversdavo daryti po 8 ar 10 klaidų. Dabar jis nemaišo. Bet jei turi gynėją su minusais ant puolimo, bet pliusais taiklumo, turi būti visiškai prastas treneris jei treniruotum puolimą daugiau nei kokie 9. Tiesiog šis įgūdis dabar reiškia beveik nieką. Turbūt vienas paskutinių į kurį reikia investuoti. O jei kas tai daro, tai dažniausiai tik dėl menkos tikimybės, kad šią varikliuko klaidą kažkada ištaisys. Grafai, tavo pasakyta problema yra ta pati. Tiesiog Darius nesiklauso ko nori žaidėjai. Jis kažkada kažkokią problemą nusprendė spręsti keldamas žaidėjo pageidaujamą algą. Kainos pakilo. Žmonės supyko. Jis nusprendė ją taisyti įvesdamas išankstinius pratęsimus, šalies bonusus, jaunimo komandas ir t.t. Taip atėjome iki dabartinio negalėjimo įpirkti net savų žaidėjų.
Kažkada taip pat gimė potencialų sistema, kurios pagrindas buvo pagreitinti žaidėjų augimą. Tiesiog nebuvo įsiklausyta į pranešimus apie itin didelę neigiamą įtaką treniruotėms. Vieni įgūdžiai kilo labai greitai, o kiti nekilo iš vis. Tas buvo nuspręsta taisyti įgūdžių šuoliais... Taip atėjome iki žaidėjų ištobulintų tik su keliais įgūdžiais, kuri galiausiai išbalansavo rungtynių varikliuką. Norint subalansuoti pernelyg gerus įgūdžius buvo nuspręsta, kad reikia sumažinti jų reikšmes Kur nuėjo treniruotės? I understand all your situation. Difficult to find time, money and better way to involve your game.
For me the TOP PRIORITY is to DO INTERESTING the National League. Maybe in some country like LIthuania or China, you don't have this problem. In france, like in Spain or similar country, we have around 20/25 active managers. Maybe 8/10 very active and others are active. Not active to play in WL2/WL3 league but active to play Basketpulse and play in WL4 and sometimes a go and return in WL3 (my specialty, with a bankrupt).
When you are in WL4, in France, you can't play something in NL1. You know your place will be in the 4 last positions. Also, we play to be the best in NL2 but nobody want to go in NL1. I prefere earn 50k€ in NL2 and stay in NL2 than go in NL1 with 70k€ in cash and next season go back in NL2.
In this 2 situations, NL2 is not interesting. Heaven if I don't play, I win the NL2 league. The next season, I will not play because my team will be too low to play someting against WL3/2 teams.

Also for me, it's the TOP OF THE TOP PRIORITY !!!

You all have very different opinions and wishes. No matter which direction we go, part of the community will still be upset. Sometimes it even feels like the right choice would be to do nothing at all.

You're mentioning the T-shirt awards as a problem. Really? We've been online for many years, and we can’t buy and send some T-shirts for the winners? This wasn’t an issue when we did it for the Board of Fame members some time ago.
This isn’t something we need to spend months on—it's just a small award for our champions. Last season, there was much more interest in national leagues and tournaments. If we had more money, I’d even consider doing this every season.

The match engine, national teams, finances, and cheating have been discussed and updated multiple times. There’s no easy solution that will make the whole community happy. We plan to keep improving these areas, but there’s no silver bullet that will satisfy everyone.
Another problem is that changes in these areas require more resources than creating something new.
In most cases, we can't outsource these tasks to freelancer. So, we simply don't have the possibility to focus on these updates right now because there is no one fully available for the job.

Recently, many of our updates have been focused on refactoring old pages and updating related functionality. Each season, there are fewer and fewer old pages, and the most difficult areas are coming soon (training, tactics, finances, market, and match translation). This has been a top priority for quite a while, and a big part of this job is outsourced to our freelance developer.

I understand perfectly that you should select what to do because of impossibility for you to work on the game at 100%. But.... This is a real problem. Why the hell in NL1 you can earn 0€ when someone in NL2 can earn even around 30k for his result ?? We are nbot asking a lot, just having a better repartition about this money pool prize. 0€ is a hudge problem. If you are in this position, that means you already have a money hole because of missing matches. That's enough money lost, and you add that 0€ reward fopr placement ? That's ILLOGIC and EASY to fix.

How create a new feature really hard to put into the game like the "player badges" could be more important that fix some problems we are asking for since years ??? I can't understand. You know I always been on your side (even the rise of premium that was an obligation, but I still think it's too high).

One of the biggest issues to solve with national leagues is that we have a very different situation in different countries.
In some countries, we have multiple divisions, while in others, we have only a few active players.

I cannot find the previous discussion about this topic :( I spent a lot of time discussing some ideas with the community and suggested my own.
Eventually, we did not find common ground, and we moved on to other updates.

I have a suggestion regarding the National Leagues issue:

Make the prize money for teams in the same division. For example, 80,000 for the first tier, 60,000 for the second tier, and so on. Promoted teams can directly receive the prize money of the higher division, while relegated teams would receive the prize money of the lower division. This way, it would eliminate the situation where teams purposely throw games to avoid winning. Additionally, special rewards or badges can be given to the top three teams in the top division.

As for the issue with smaller nations’ leagues, I believe it’s okay to give them a bit more resources. Their competitiveness is inherently weaker, and if they have more resources to strengthen their national teams, it would benefit the entire game.

This suggestion only involves changes to the prize money, without requiring any major updates, and it could resolve the long-standing issue of teams not wanting to win in the National Leagues. -- 101 sez. 4 d.
