I hesitated in getting into this but want to say first of all total rate wouldn't take into affect of age/potential/position/salary. I agree with joancrumor. What it is, is a team that made the top 16 but with little chance to promote dumping salary and getting a player that could be useful next season if they are able to keep him and another team that traded away a player that could help next season and a decent prospect for an old player and 2 players that won't help as much next season. Sometimes trades are made for reasons of next season. As far as dumping salaries, I would much prefer to get a couple potentially useful players at less cost than just plain dumping players. In fact sometimes there is more savings with a trade than there is by dumping players. I repeat, I completely agree with joancrumor. A lot of you all cry foul when you lack the insight and background information of the trade. -- 63 S 28 d.
