Our team needs to reduce excess players and acquire school assets in return.

Kai-Wei Shih, a genuine talent, was included as a balancing piece in a previous trade. With above-average height for a center and mature athleticism and defensive skills, he is capable of dominating in the sixth division. If developed as an all-around center, Kai-Wei Shih will still need two to three seasons to refine his shooting skills to adapt to leagues above the fourth division, and Neptūnas can provide him with ample time to grow. Currently, he carries a low-cost contract of 1480/3 years, significantly below the 7K+ that similar players could command in the free market. This means Neptūnas can maintain considerable salary flexibility while making strong progress toward promotion.

Kai-Wei Shih's ceiling is a starting center in the third division or a rotation player in the second division. Given the opportunity, he could become a cornerstone for Neptūnas' rise over the next dozen seasons.

As part of the trade compensation, Chieh-Lin Yan, a guard with height advantages and an expected final height of 198cm, has a skill set leaning toward a combo guard.
