It is time for our traditional overview of the last, 83rd, season!

World league 1.1
For the sixth straight time we witnessed  Wǒ bù pa (我不怕) versus GOD. This time there was a little change in scenario -  GOD managed to secure home-court advantage and used it well. After a 5-game series, GOD won its 1st gold medal. Congratulations!
In the series for bronze, Utenos green death met King Kinka 75 and won 3 games in a row to secure the bronze medal.

National U16
First time in U16 championship history, finals took place without Lithuania and China youth teams. Côte d`Ivoire dominated the whole tournament and did not stop in the finals running over Latvia’s youth. Bronze went to Lithuania who beat China.

National U21 
Two strongest tournament teams met - Lithuania versus China. Lithuania’s youth controlled the whole game and secured another gold medal. For the third place Argentina edged Greece by 1 point to bring home the bronze medal.

Jobs done in 83rd season

• New design of page: Finances - Sponsors
• Proportion of Drafts’ talents changed in WL1 and WL2: number of young talents decreased (19-23 year-old) and the number of school talents increased (14-18 year-old)
• Big progress towards the new match engine
• A bit increased the discount given in the market for the current club and reduced the discount given for the same country teams

Match engine updates
After very hard work we finally have some news about the changes in the match engine.
The initial plan to make only small balancing changes failed, as in order to fix some bugs (like fouled players in the court) we needed to completely rewrite some parts of the game.
So we took another approach - we also did some bigger changes. In order to use the new match engine in the whole game we will need more time for balancing it, as well as adapting our players and tactics.

Most users do not care much about national leagues, so we believe that it is a good way to get feedback. Therefore from the 84th season the new match engine will be used in national leagues only. 

The exact season when we will use the new match engine in international leagues’ matches will depend on how much balancing will be needed. We expect that this will not be before the 86th season.

Some of the changes:
- added more chronology events to let users better understand what happened (mostly in close match endings)
- attack flow rewritten (inbound passes, moving the ball to frontcourt...)
- changes in the last matches’ attacks (mostly focused on the fouled player bug)
- new events: deflection, fight for a loose ball, etc.
- new tactical setting: full court press
- changes how players switch positions during the match  (even if you don't have any PG/SG, you should not see C in PG position anymore)
-various skills’, tactics’, tiredness calibrations
-the right defensive tactic will be more visible in a “shooting situation” than “shooting quality”.

We do not plan to do any other bigger changes in the new match engine at this stage - only balancing and fixing serious issues.
So, please, be creative with tactics in national leagues and give us ideas how to better balance the new match engine.

Please pay attention to your national leagues and help us improve the match engine!
Especially regard the endings of close matches and attack clock bugs.
