Before salaries got out of control, it was possible to put a team together and for the most part keep it together, nowadays if they are young, solid, good potential players if they hit the market someone will offer a ridiculous salary for them. It's too difficult to develop and keep a team together now and the lower the World League level the harder it is. Unfortunately, one of the fun aspects of the game is todo just that - develop a team.

Looking at my team I can already see that it will get ripped apart by free agency before it has time to develop. Signing a bunch of 32 year olds to one season contracts....I don't see fun in that.
