Hi everyone,
drafts have just finished and we would like to share the draft preparation process behind a few teams.
smart0eddie WL3.2 - 500 credits
The draft order of my team is determined by what my team need and what my team may get.
Considering my team would have 4 centers next seasons, I would pay more attention to the forwards and guards. There are a few 3-pointers with high RT and some with decent RT but cheap salary. They could be a good supplement to my teams outside scoring and defense.
However, the draft position also matters. Since I’m a little tight in budget this season, I didn’t invest much on scout. Taken the bonus points for the promotion teams into account, my team is the 13-th place in draft, as expected. Placing in 13 is quite high but has little chance to grab the best players. Teams in higher place are very likely to pick the good players before my team’s turn. Therefore, I may need to pick some young players.
Thankfully, there’s a plenty of them. As my youth team lacks centers, I would prefer to pick young center and than forwards or guards.
Overall, I would like to place a few good players with high RT that can play on my main team at higher order, hoping having chances to pick them.
Then following a few young potentials. In that cases, I could pull some of the players on my youth team to the main team. And last, I may pick some decent players with low salary.
If in any cases, all of the listed players are picked by the other team, I may decide to give up draft picks this season and save the draft points for the future.
Season 97 choice: Augustas Gamulis
jiasyuan WL 3.3 - 500 credits
After checking one round, I found that WL3.3 has a lot of seedlings and young players, and the combat power is very scarce, especially the low post. After the draft list came out, I started to search for the low post players in the restricted market, and I finally found a decent player for next season day 59.
Therefore, I started focusing on the PG position. This draft list has a lot of PGs that are ready to play now, which is very important for me as I prepare to move up to WL3.3. My goal next season is mainly to avoid relegation, so strong players are very much needed.
Since I don’t know where I will be in the draft, Ping Cuī, Aistis Dudenas, Saverio Giovannelli are all my target players.
I hope I can successfully select one of them, otherwise I will have to worry about the lineup at the beginning of the season.
Speaking of the draft, I would like to give you a suggestion. I hope that the draft player list will appear at the same time as the restricted market, so that it will be better for players who want to operate the next season's list.
It would be kinder, and speaking from my experience this season, I missed a lot of low post players in the early days of the restricted market.
Looking back, no one even bid for these low post players. I originally expected to select big man in the draft, but found that there were too few of them in the draft list (it could even be said to be none). Then I looked for bigs in the restricted markets, there were not many players I was interested in.
If the draft list can be brought forward to coincide with the restricted market, the lineup for next season can be better arranged.
Season 97 choice: Aistis Dudenas
dwyane3
This season my poor investment to the scouts resulted in me being dead-last in the draft order. I pay the price for having expensive players on my roster, including a couple of youth players I paid full 11- 20k Euro weekly salary for their 9 or 10 potential. One could say, that instead of drafting them, I pay their salary. :)
As I still have very limited budget, I gave a green light only to the youth players. However, by pick #19 Samson Savill I knew that there are no more options for me. Anyone below 290 peak RT would not get me excited enough to pick them.
My last year's pick Botao Jin was close to getting fired at the beginning of this season due to rather poor performance. However, he agreed to play one more year for a low salary with a hoping of proving he belong in the big leagues. :)
What seems to be a growing tendency - the top teams in the drafts are becoming even more frugal with their draft points. First 5 teams in WL1 draft have not picked anybody, in WL2.2 - first 3 and WL 2.1 was an exception where volvo60 used their first pick for Fausto Pujol who scored 14 points in his first WL game. It will be interesting to see whether this tendency remains in the future.

Welcome to the 2nd BP Davis Cup. For this edition, Šabas and I decided to grow up and take more countries to compete. Then we received some messages from different presidents, and finally, we were 5 countries to participate.
We decided to create a cash prize for the winners. As we planned to be 6 countries we wanted that pool to reach 3k credits. The winners will receive 750 each, and the 2nd - 250. But one federation left the competition a few days before it start, so we were only 5 countries. So, I decided to put 500 more credits from my own pocket (and Šabas gave me 250 without letting me saying anything !!! thanks to him).
All 5 countries had 3 players, each one into WL3, 4 and 5. This mean 30 matches took place to determine which country won this very funny tournament.
This time, the tournament was very close. All countries had players who were very strong in their WLs, but very weak in others, so it makes the competition incredible.
CourgettesDesEtoiles from France dominated all his opponent in WL5 earning 8 points for his country. Germany and Poland both won and lost twice, when unfortunately, Poland and Italy forfeited some games.
In WL4, TripleThreat from Germany won his 4 matches and got 8 points. All his matches were not even close, congratulation to him. Poland only lost against him and got 7 points. Italy forfeited in this WL due to some injuries, and couldn’t compete.
For the WL3 part, Poland team represented by Matis won all his matches for 8 points! Italy was here to play, but he only won one match giving his country 5 points.
Italy with a lot of forfeited games ended this tournament at the bottom of the ranking. At the 4th place, with 16 points, Poland! Even if the WL3 and 4 players did a real great job, losing only 1 match, the forfeits of their WL5 team cost them a lot.
Germany and Lithuania both have 18 points, making them fight in a head to head to determinate which country takes the 2nd and the 3rd place.
As you already know, TripleThreat won all his matches, meaning that he defeated the Lithuanian player. In WL3, Lithuania took the win, so WL5 game decided which team took the silver medal. And this game was amazing. Sporto Baras was dominating all the match, having +15 in the 2nd quarter, and leading 46- 37 at the half. The first half of the 3rd quarter kept going his way, when suddenly, BG Bewegungslegastheniker’s team (what a name!) started to react! At the beginning of the last quarter, Lithuania only had 2 points more than Germany. Finally, greatly helped by the tiredness, Germany took the win and so, the 2nd place of the tournament!
And at the first place, for the second time, Team France reach 20 points! Congratulations to CourgettesDesEtoiles, dartag and klinx.
Thanks for all competitors and presidents to making this 2nd Davis Cup a great success. We’re hoping to keep growing this tournament with other members, and we will probably welcome Lipinski into the organisation team next season!...

Season 97 Updates
This season we’ve been working intensely on the planned update related to the coaches’ training. We are very happy that we managed to include this part of the update on time.
However, we’ve been working not only on the changes in coaches’ training but also on the optimization of the whole training process. In the beginning of the new season we will continue tuning the process of training so that it doesn’t freeze the game for a few minutes at 11pm game time.

Changes in number of players and coaches in a team
The limit on the maximum number of players and coaches per team has been removed.
Youth team sponsor only covers the salaries of up to 12 players and 8 coaches. If a team exceeds this limit, the selection for compensation is done randomly.
Starting from Season 100, the limit will be further reduced to 5 coaches, whose salaries will be compensated.
Updated system of coaches’ training
Considerably increased influence of coach’s age
<50 y. - main improvement of coaches
50-59 y. - coaches improve a little or stop improving
>=60 y. - coaches don’t improve anymore. Starting with season 102, coaches’ skills will start decreasing.
Coach’s position influence on training
Head coach - depends on tactical skills of the opponent coach (in today’s match)
Assistant and training coach - depends on the head coach’s RT and head coach’s skill (that is being trained)
Other criteria remain the same: coach’s potential, skill’s inner potential, day surprises
Coaches’ experience growth depends on:
Influence of other coaches, depending on coach’s position (similarly as in the above mentioned skill’s training)
Opponent strength and result of today’s match
Few small bug fixes
Match engine updates
Attempt to fix the bug where sometimes a pass to the leader didn't work
Community News
We have received numerous quality posts by the community and shared them in the news. We always love hearing from you guys and we will share some more soon. Our personal favourites were the community interviews and AI created facelifts of the players.
We have also noticed a really cool update by MikeHoudini who has created a script to improve the experience watching the games LIVE and shared it on the game Discord server:
And all it took was a bit of CSS to improve my live match viewing experience tenfold. If anyone else wants to have the same layout, the code's available here: https://www.codedump.xyz/xml/ZfCruPGddUn5v_8M I tested it with Greasemonkey (Firefox addon) and Tampermonkey (Chrome/Firefox/Edge/Safari addon).
Very well done, and 2.000 credits reward has been sent to Mike. We love seeing these community-made updates and if you have anything that could improve the life of our players - please share!
Also we have seen the Taiwan community being active in promoting the game inside their BP community as well as attracting new members to the game, therefore we would like to allocate a 5% scouting bonus for the community effort.
Also, Lithuanian and French federations have organised the 2nd Davis Cup earning them a 5% scouting bonus as well.
We are yet to hear from other federation presidents about the exceptional effort of their community members. Don’t be shy and let us know and get rewarded!
FPC News
Due to low activity one Lithuanian spot has been removed. In the future, one federation will be able to have maximum 2 spots.
China is the biggest community in the game that does not have a seat in FPC, and TRX001 has been appointed by the Chinese federation as the newest member of FPC. Congratulations!

Starting with season 102, coaches’ skills will start decreasing from 60 years old.
Continue optimizing the system of training, so that the game would be better available during it.
Changes in match engine: adjust coaches’ influence so that it depends on the actual difference between coaches’ skills, not only on the fact that one is better at some skill. Coaches’ influence in matches is quite big, therefore we plan to include changes gradually in the upcoming 5 seasons.

Hello everyone,
this week we would like to share the updates in the game you would like to see most.
zurda10 - WL3.1 - 2.000 credits
This week, we've been asked by the BasketPulse crew to write a post about our desires for new upgrades to the game. In my case, I always like to do something a bit different. First of all I'll write a short list of things I consider they should be in the to-do list already.
- Tenths of a second in the last minute (or 30") of every quarter to allow more actions to happen in that period of time.
- More shot range. Right now we only have from below the basket to the triple and full-court shots, I'd love to have the possibility of mid-court shots.
- Change the way minutes are distributed to something like the NBA2k editor. This way we could have more control on the 5 men which are on court on every part of the game.
Now that the basic things have been covered, I'd like to bring up one more ideas, maybe completely impossible, maybe not. Use the Artificial Intelligence to create player's faces and Team Jerseys or logos. Here I bring you an example with my team:
Our French forward Benard and our school talent Fase.
->
->
Our sharpshooter Pardelas and our recently extended player Lo.
->
->
Our team captain Ávila and our young prospect, Carrasco. They look lit, don't they?
->

And finally we also tested the logo and shirt design capabilities:

When speaking of expected BP new features, the training plan reminder comes to my mind.
Including the youth and the school, it is very common for a team having more than 20 players. These players usually belong to various types with different potentials and training targets.
For example, some will be trained as center, some goes for shooters, and some would be playmakers. The managers need to spend quite a lot of time to track the training progress of these players and adjust their training accordingly. It would be great if there is a training plan reminder.
The manager can set the training plan, or, the target skill level, for a player. The target skill level is shown on the training pages to remind the manager. For example, for a player A that I want to train him as a center, I could set his target skill levels as 12 6 12 / 12 6 X / 10 10 6 / X 6 8, where X means don’t care.
When I’m checking the training progress of the player, I could also see what he should be trained to and adjust his training when the current training skill reach his target level.
A few advanced features could be premium.
The first is the template. The system could offer skill template of each type of players like the existing one used in scouting and drafting. Managers can directly choose the templates instead of manually set it from scratch.
For example, the manager could use the template of low post defender for a player B. The system automatically distributes RT to the target skill level with a ratio like 1 0.6 1.5 / 0.2 0.2 0.2 / 1 1.5 1 / 0.2 0.2 0.2. The manager may manually adjust the target skill if not satisfied with the predefined template.
The second could be multi-stage training plan. As the required training point increase with the skill level, some manager would not train one skill from 4 to 12 directly but change to other skill after reach 10 and go back to raise it to 12 afterward. The multi-stage plan could let the manager to set a more detailed schedule. It’s like a future center player C should firstly goes to toughness 10, then inside score 10,… and then back to further improve his toughness to 12, … etc.
And of course, this can be combined with the predefined training plan schedule.

I would like to see some changes to the league and revenue design. There are a couple of issues in the current version.
1. Once a team enters Top 16 and if the team has no plan to promote, the manager will do "tanking", firing all short contract players to maximize the profit he can get.
I don't know if it is fun to play, but it is absolutely no fun to watch lives playing against those "tanking" teams (or watch your own lives if you are the one who is "tanking"). The cause of it is because of the Top 16 structure. Once you enter the Top 16, you have 0 risk of relegation, you can earn more ticket revenues than those teams in the Bottom 16, even though you lose all the remaining games. What I would like to see is something similar to the NBA, where we remove the Top 16, all the teams have to do their best throughout the whole season. We also need some balance between ticket revenue and season prize. Right now the season prize has minimal influence from final standings. That's why managers do not care about the standings. One idea is to increase the difference of season prize between each standings, reduce the ticket revenue to compensate, or even modify the number of attendance of each game in a way that teams with higher standing can get more ticket revenue throughout the season.
2. Teams in playoff try to lose a game
The cause of this is because the team wants to earn more money from ticket revenue. I think this is also a design issue. The home team tries to lose a game because he wants to play one more home game to earn more money. The away team tries to lose the series as soon as possible because he can earn more money by playing friendlies. We have lots of such defects in the game that you have to do such weird things in order to maximize your profit. It makes no sense to me that people try to lose games. There is a simple fix for this. Instead of giving normal ticket revenue, just give the average ticket revenue the home team got from that series. Same for the away team.
3. Teams in national leagues try to lose games to avoid promotion
This is one of the dumbest things I've seen. Same as above, it makes no sense. And it has no sportsmanship at all. The root cause is also because of revenue the team can make in next season. I think we need a serious review of the revenue design model.
dwyane3 WL 2.2
I would love to see players and coaches with specialties in the game. After all these seasons in the game, it's become more or less trying to recreate the players with the skills you know that work. What I would love to see instead that some players would have a special skill, for example, playmaking big. That way you could have 2.10cm center play as PG without skill deduction, like Nikola Jokič does. Or have a coach who has specialties in the end-of game situations bringing extra advantage for the team. Contrary, I know there are coaches that have unexpected plays in the beginning of the games, when the jumper for the opening jumball tips the ball, gets screened by a team-mate and receives an alley-oop pass in the first 3 or 4 seconds of the game. :)
Basketball has moved forward a lot in the recent years and I believe this change would bring more excitement for the game.
Also, cup games bring a lot of excitement and I would love to play in those one-off series for cash prizes and climb the ladder. I think that it would supplement the game with more exciting games.
Would you like to earn your award as well? Write us an analysis of at least 250 words about your choice for the upcoming draft and earn up to 2.000 credits.
Have a good read!...

Hello everyone,
we would like to share two more really cool interviews with our community members from Taiwan and Poland.
We start off with im511013 interview of the Taiwanese team Whisky Foreign Studies College, whose team manager is VanthonyDash.
When did you first encounter BasketPulse, and how did you discover it?
About 2 years ago, I actually saw this game on Bahamut, but at that time, I didn't understand it, and I wasn't accustomed to a game without a mobile app. Therefore, I didn't officially dive into it. Later on, I became weary of the pressure of leveling up in mobile games and didn't have much time to spend on my phone after entering the workforce, so I returned to this game.
Judging from your team name, you seem to be knowledgeable about liquor. Do you have any recommended drinks? How often do you usually drink?
Always suggesting "Auchentoshan 12 YO", at this price point, I think it's the best. It has the richest flavor layers without interfering with each other. Personally, I don't like the taste of peat, so my preference may differ from most people's. I used to drink it every day a long time ago, but now I only drink it once a month. Getting older, I can only reminisce about the madness of the past.
Do you also watch basketball leagues such as the NBA?
A celtics fan for 10 years, I started watching since Isaiah Thomas' time. Although I didn't experience the time of Celtics' big three (aka GAP), watching Brad Stevens, who led us to the playoffs every year, all the way to becoming the team's general manager now, and Isaiah Thomas leading the team to the playoffs, the excitement has never ceased. Well, I've said too much, all tears.
BasketPulse offers various features; which one interests you the most?
In the previous question, I'm actually a fan of Brad Stevens. Mainly because I can utilize a group of young players in my hands to form a powerful team that makes the playoffs every year. So I really like the tactical system that allows me to adjust playing time, player positions, etc., giving me more opportunities to achieve the results I want in this regard. It's just that if I could still adjust player USG% that would be better.
Among the trades you've made before, which one are you most satisfied with?
In the first season of this team, about 10 days after its creation, I drew an 8P Wu Kunhao, but his salary was too high and I couldn't trade him. I held on until the second season and then traded for Kiran and Chen Tianlong. Both of them have been the backbone of my team ever since. Thanks to the Taipei National Team at that time.
As a player who has recently advanced to WL5, do you have any advice or insights for new players in WL6?
Finance, finance, still finance. Always maintain your salary health and don't let yourself be tied down by multi-year contracts. Also, make good use of statistical data to find suitable players or your weaknesses. Calculate how much money you need to spend to fill that gap. Don't blindly pursue RT (real-time). Finally, make good use of the positional advantages of players in tactics.
Do you have any tips for consistently drawing high-potential players in the past two seasons?
I absolutely won't admit it, but I believe in some small tricks and the flow of unconsciousness. Don't pray to your phone or computer for what you want to draw; it will give you the opposite result. I'm serious about this!
What are your expectations or plans for the future of your team?
Please don't go bankrupt in the short term. In the long term, I hope I can make it to the WL4 and develop my youth team well, at least producing a member of the national youth team.
Do you have any suggestions for BasketPulse at the moment?
As someone who loves to try different tactics, I hope the tactical configuration can be more detailed. For example, as mentioned earlier,USG%, adding more player playing types such as high position transmission, hand-to-hand passing, double screen and roll, elevator door, etc.
As the U21 tournaments are approaching, DanTitan put in titanous effort and interviewed most of the U21 coaches. We would like to share an interview with Slovenia U21 coach jopencjusz.
- How difficult has it been to decide your squad this year?
It was not as hard as rosters last season, since right now we have quite similar engine to what we had last season. I might not be a big fan of what happened last season, that after few season of changes going more towards giving bigger role to the shooters from outside, now once again we reversed towards "dominating" bigs playing inside, but it is what it is.
- Could you tell us the criteria to select the players? Do you ask for their skills in advance to their players owners?
It depends, when I see there's a lot of players available for National Team, that are very close to each other in strenght, then I'm going to ask owners for skills of said players. I did it many times as head coach of different national teams of Poland, but when I see big gaps between players, I'm just going with my "instinct" and judge them only by their stats in said season during selection.
- Has any of your selected players surprised you and who is he?
There're for sure few players who surprised me, both in positive and negative way. For sure pleasant surprise are Hladnik and Odlazek, both very young players (18-yo and 17-yo) and they look right now better than some older players with way higher RT, due to their more focused training plan. Mostly disappointed I'm with PGs I've selected, there were not many options to do something different here, but two of them are unplayable (at least in my opinion) and it will be very hard to make them decent players.
- The U21 is the last step for the youngsters to shine and hopefully most of them will make it to the World Cup National Selection. How many do you think that will make it from your team?
It's the last step for them for sure, but also from my experience with many different national teams, I could say it could go in very different directions. I saw players perform great at U21 NT, that were never even close to get spot in Senior NT, while their partners, that were only role players, could break into Senior NT. I'm not exactly familiar with the strength of Senior National Team of Slovenia, but I think at least 4-5 guys should get their chance in future in Senior NT and I'm not counting here Hladnik and Odlazek, since they will still have chance to prove their worth in future in U21.
-Regarding this year, how do you see your squad? What are the possibilities for this WC?
We have quite tough group at the start, with 3 teams from TOP8 of the rankings right now (Poland, Italy and China), so we want to put good fight in first group phase and play for the top place in group at LAST12 round, since I can't imagine actually beating any of this top3 teams in first round. I think 13/14 place is possible for us.
- And finally, could you predict the top 3 and the biggest "grower/revelation" country.
I could try at least. Lithuania and China for sure will play for medals, so at 99% they will be in TOP3. For sure also Taiwan has strong case to be there, but I could imagine someone else getting here (I wish it could be Poland :) ). As for revelation, maybe I'll go with Malta. I know they might not look strong on paper, but I know very well it's head coach and I know he can surprise their opponents and do something big with less resources, so that's where I'm going to put my vote.

Hey everyone,
last time we had a task for you to interview another community member. We would like to share really moving story of liang99 who is a visually impaired manager. 統一獅 thank you for the interview!
How did you find BasketPulse?
I actually stumbled upon this game by chance while Googling. I've always been interested in team management games, so I occasionally search online to see if there are similar games to play.
What was your first impression of the game when you discovered it?
When I first discovered the game, I felt like it had the potential to be a purely text-based game that visually impaired users could play independently. Such games are really rare nowadays, and most importantly, it had a fully localized interface in Chinese, which instantly piqued my interest.
As a visually impaired player, what advantages and disadvantages do you think BasketPulse has for visually impaired users?
Visually impaired users mainly operate smartphones and computers through screen reader systems. Although screen reader systems have become very convenient, there is still much room for improvement in handling images. Therefore, as I mentioned earlier, web games like BasketPulse, which are almost purely text-based, are very friendly to visually impaired players, which is probably its biggest advantage. As for disadvantages, I really haven't thought of any yet. Jokingly speaking, it might make visually impaired users unable to resist spending money because there are too few games to play, and it's a game that both visually impaired and normal users can participate in.
How does your gameplay in BasketPulse differ from that of regular users?
The biggest difference should be that I use screen reader systems to operate the game. Usually, it's better to use a computer than a smartphone for operation, but I don't know if this is the same as regular users.
How do you manage and cultivate your team in BasketPulse? What difficulties have you encountered?
Currently, the main focus of this season is to try to save as much funds as possible while cultivating my franchise player. The biggest problem I encountered was feeling that my experience was not enough, and I didn't know which funds should be spent and which could be saved. Sometimes, I struggle with whether the franchise player should be a starter because he can easily become targets for opponents. Fortunately, everyone in the Taiwan Discord channel is very helpful. Although I was initially troubled by the overwhelming amount of messages in the Discord community, many people are willing to discuss with me through private messages, and I am really grateful for their assistance.
What is your favorite feature in BasketPulse?
I think the best thing about BasketPulse is the comprehensive trading system and free market mechanism. Especially when buying players, besides looking at the players' RT values, you also need to look at the statistics of the players in other leagues, which really gives a sense of managing a team.
If given the chance, what do you hope BasketPulse can do to better support visually impaired users?
I'm not sure if this is a problem that only visually impaired users will encounter, but I'll mention it anyway. When looking at post-game statistics, it's impossible to determine the main positions of players from the statistics of the game, and you must watch the live broadcast of the game to see for yourself. I hope this part can be made more intuitive.
Do you have any advice or words of encouragement for other disabled users playing BasketPulse?
Actually, because the discussion messages in the Discord channel were a bit messy before, I gave up for a while and thought I would just play on my own. It was only because I really wanted to play this game well that I tried to use the game's private messaging function to contact my teacher, and I really got a lot of help. If there are other disabled people participating in this game, I sincerely recommend that you bravely ask questions if you encounter any problems. This way, you can play better and enjoy more fun.
Waldemar235 has interviewed WL4.4 team manager Rarz09 about his gaming and basketball experience.
How long have you been in the game? What features do you like best?
I have been in the game since season 92. I come from a game where I was there for a long time and then it closed. And the things I like most about BasketPulse is that it has everything to do, trades, marketing, direct messages, national teams, etc.
What would you like to bring to the game to make it even more attractive?
I think that as it is, it is very good, what I would do would be to try not to touch the engine too much, since there are times where you see many updates in a row and that can have a negative influence, both for the game and for us managers.
What goals do you set for this season and the next 5 seasons?
The goal I have for this season is to try to achieve promotion, because of how it is developing, it seems complicated, but we have to try anyway, if it is achieved great and if not, we will have to see how we continue.
For the next 5 seasons, I don't know, I like to set short-term goals and see how the season develops, but obviously if you can advance quickly, the better XD.
Tell us about your team, tactical aspects and best players?
Well, for this season we have a great team, although in the same WL that I am in there are also very good teams, I think I am quite well balanced both on the perimeter and in the low post and that gives me options to vary my tactics, I don't have a certain fixed tactic, but I try to adapt to the rival.
Best players, I don't think there is one who is decisive in the team, although if I had to say one, it would be Chino Daming Xu, I got it thanks to Sergio de Cai Zaragoza, who in fact I owe him a favor, I could also name Walter Barrios, Danilo Zampetti, or the Ukrainian Dmitrів.
Has the game helped you find new friends, who from the community do you communicate with, what countries?
Yes, of course, I have several colleagues with whom I talk, above all, not about something specific, and that helps me a lot to have the team that I have today, I could name almost all the Argentines, San Francis, Cinco Mancos, Iron Maiden, and also many Spaniards, like Xeres Club Deportivo, Artica Slayers and yourself Los Reyes del Vitebsk. In fact, all of them helped me in the first steps in the game and I thank them for it.
What are your best memories of the game that brought great emotions?
That match was when I achieved my first promotion to WL5, after winning the semifinals in a series that ended in the last game.
Which team do you follow as a manager, and who do you learn from?
I follow several of them, the ones I mentioned before, I follow all of the Argentinians and several Spaniards too, who are very good guys, if I had to say one who has taught me a lot, it is Artica Slayers, txetx manager, I have known him for a long time. a long time.
Let's take a little break from the game. What are your favorite basketball team and player. Why?
My favorite team is San Lorenzo de Almagro, Argentine Team, both in Soccer and Basketball, and my favorite player is Nikola Jokic from the Denver Nuggets, the best XD I love you Nikola
What advice would I give to the game administrators for my part?
The only thing I could tell you is that thank you for a game like BasketPulse, complete in all aspects, and also as I said before, try not to touch or update the game engine too often.
Let them continue with these types of contests to earn credits, since many of us (including myself) cannot access them and this is a good way to do it.
Thank you for the amazing effort, it's really awesome to learn more about other managers in the game. We have a few more interviews and we will share it with you next week! If you want to earn up to 2.000 credits as well, share your interview with @dwyane3 via DM.

Have a good read!...

Hi everyone,
let's get nostalgic this week and share our best memories about BasketPulse!
darys WL 3.4 - 2.000 credits
The best memories should be associated with the best team achievements. And those achievements were quite a lot - 1.1 WL final (it's a pity that I didn't manage to win), bronze won, many different national league medals or friendly tournaments. One of the most memorable is probably the BBT tournament. But digging into my memory, I discovered another incident that really shocked me at the time. I don't remember exactly when it happened, maybe 80 or 85 seasons ago, the game administration inducted me into the Hall of Fame. At that time I was a teenager and such an event seemed something incredible. In my youth, I was very active, I organized all kinds of totalizators, I wrote articles on the then-existing forum, I actively participated and helped in the activities organized by other Basketpulse users in the game, and I did not expect anything in return. Because I just loved it. And suddenly, one day I wake up and see that I am mentioned in the season news as the most active user of Basketpulse. I also received a bonus for the team's finances. Wow, that was a lot of joy back then. This event fueled my enthusiasm and motivation to keep going for a few more years. Although it's been a long time, but that entry in the Hall of Fame makes me proud of myself, and of course, I should thank the administrators of the game (Darius and Ramunė) who honored me in such a way. Thank you.

My journey with BasketPulse is more than just a gaming experience; it's a story of building and energizing a community, along with promoting the game's love in Taiwan. As the Traditional Chinese translator for BasketPulse, I took it a step further by establishing the BasketPulse Taiwan Discord community.
Being the founder in Taiwan, I've had the privilege of witnessing the community's growth over the past three years. It's not merely a gaming platform; it's a place where friendships are built, strategies are shared, and each season is celebrated. To enhance the community experience, I invited Yaho25 to join us as a dedicated reporter. Every season, he crafts in-depth articles, capturing the essence of the Taiwan national team in BasketPulse. Unfortunately, Yaho25 is about to fade out of our family.
I've also been dedicated to expanding the game's popularity in Taiwan, utilizing various channels within my capabilities to continuously promote it. The goal is to attract more players to BasketPulse, making the game more diverse and enjoyable.
Season after season, we've organized a variety of events to maintain the community's vibrancy and cohesion. These activities have become traditions, adding excitement and friendly competition to the community, bringing new and fun memories each season.
Now, the BasketPulse Taiwan community has become one of the largest in the game, a testimony to our shared passion for BasketPulse. In our community, we don't just discuss the game; we share information on various topics such as other games, anime, or interesting aspects of life.
BasketPulse has provided more than just a gaming experience; it has become a platform for personal and community achievements. The memories created, friendships established, and the growth of the community are witnesses to the incredible journey we've shared.

Despite not much seniority in the game, I am submitting my story. I started my adventure in BP by translating the game from scratch into Polish, and it is these memories that I want to share. After I got the right to moderate the language, I set myself the ambitious goal of completing the translation within one season and so, at the end of season 90, Polish was implemented in the game. This goal was achieved, but I had to pay for it with long hours of work, mostly at night. The good thing about this work was that I got to know the game better than regular users. I translated almost 5000 phrases and longer texts. All this work has also connected me more to the game and the maintenance of the language also makes me feel a small part of improving it. When logging in and exploring different areas of the game, I have the personal satisfaction that what is displayed on my PC or smartphone screen exists thanks to my work. All the time I also very much hope that the translation allows Polish managers to enjoy the game more. Here is my little story which I hope has left a big mark on the game

The best memory in the game is the day of registration for this best ball strategy game simulator!
Of course, the end of season 95 is the most emotional moment, because my team, not being the favourite, was able to win its first national champion title!!! Which exceeded all my expectations, I was thinking of getting into the top three.
Getting to know cool people from other leagues and continuing to chat with them is also a wonderful aspect of this game!!!
This season I became the head of the Federation, which is also a huge emotional moment for me, as we strive to bring the game in our countries to a new high level!
And of course, the victory of our adult national team in the 96th season in a stubborn battle became the cherry on the cake for our community!!!
I hope that this season will also be significant!
孤舟 WL3.3 - 500 credits
One particularly memorable moment was during a championship game where both teams were vying for victory in the third match to secure the title. The game was intensely contested, and as the clock ticked down, it remained undecided. Surprisingly, it went into overtime, and in the crucial final moments, the opposing team's defensive star fouled out, giving me the advantage. With only 3 seconds left, I sank a game-winning 3-pointer, sealing the victory in a thrilling fashion.
In the end, Basketpulse not only provided entertainment but also served as a platform for personal growth and skill development. The memories of building a championship-winning team, making strategic decisions, and experiencing the highs and lows of competition will forever be etched in my heart as a testament to the joy and satisfaction gained from managing a basketball team in the digital realm.
dwyane3 WL 2.2
I had been blogging about my team in the in-game-forum that darys mentioned previously, I even had a show called BOOM. I remember reviewing my team's performance in-depth and sharing hundreds of words length posts about why the team played in a certain way followed by an interview with a player or a coach. It was somewhat of a childhood/teenage years way to spend time playing basketball game and making it more fun for myself and everybody else playing the game as well.
I remember that I was stuck in NL 5.6. The WLs did not even exist at that point in time. It seemed that I had a strong team and in the debut season I was very close - I got bronze. However, I had no luck in the further season, and then next season I seemed to have lost a weaker opponent in the playoffs yet again. It was very frustrating but I kept going to reach my goal. I even called the league KSV league (short for "kur stebuklai vyksta" - "where amazing happens). It took me 9 seasons to break the curse and get promoted just to get relegated back again and then I quit the game because I felt that if I can't be at the top - there is no point in playing. I kept logging in once in a while just to keep the account for the memory's sake.
And then I got to the office life where I would have nothing to do in the afternoon. I logged in and I saw over one million euros in my team's account. The money must have accumulated over the years when the team was not active, but I still got the sponsorship money. I have splashed the money on old players and that helped me to get promoted. I have also spent the rest of the money on scouting to make sure I have enough youth coming in to change the old players that became worthless very quick. I have rebuild the team from scratch to where I am right now. Lesson for the future - if I ever want to quit again - leave the account alive and avoid the financial struggles of the bottom leagues. :)
I hope you enjoyed this edition of BasketPulse News. Do you want to earn some credits as well? Interview another community member, send the post to @dwyane3 and the best interview writers will receive a reward of up to 2.000 credits!

Hi everyone,
the first task of the season was to share your thought process on building the team for this season. DanTitan had a detailed walk-through, so sit tight and enjoy!
DanTitan WL4.7 - 1.000 credits.
And another season arrives. At Xerez we are very happy and have high hopes on this year team. Most of the players are the ones that you already know from last year, but with the extra bit called experience. The whole board have done some excellent signings that will make our team shine and with expectations to go back to WL3. The economy is going to be really tight so we ask all our supporters to join us at our local stadium and keep the complete sell out of tickets as you did on last season, we need your chanting and cheers more then ever!
And as usual, we will make the team presentation. But before that we need to thank the players that unfortunately have left the team: Russian Conoyxnh, Venezuelan Guayanesa and Spanish Clavell. We thank them for their great job and wish them the best of luck. Also we would like to thank Katajisto, our Finnish player on loan last year as he made many points and would be difficult to be replaced.
These will be your team this year!
1 - Spanish new signing Caballería and Moguesen will be our Playmakers, they have a solid offence and different way of attacking, depending on our situation. Caballería came from our friend's team Rarz, and previously played at Artica Slayers.
2 - On this position we have Fitzherbert, new signing from Cai Becerril and last year rookie Samaran. Becerril is a 204 cm, Spanish player with a very good skillset and will add some extra power to the team. Samaranton will be lended to the same team as last year as he express, around day 8.
3 - Babacar and star kid Almeida are the "killers" and we hope that they provide most the points on our team. As last year, they dominated in and out and hope that they can repeat it again.
4 - Pammu is our main man, he has made a great impact and as the perfect example and guide for our younglings. This year he will be together with Vidanes, our Spanish leader, that will be playing on both inner position, specially when our new player on loan arrives next week...
5 - Cucalon made us an offer we could not reject, he is an absolute beast and will help us to secure many victories... and his name is Diouf, a powerful Center that will fight alongside Kong. And speaking about Kong, he has worked really hard and will be a great asset for the team, also his experience has made him a great player.
The coaching team will be the same. Head Coach Huertas has prepared the season and is constantly informed of the opponents and our own players with his great team behind him.
And of course, the GM Martinez is always ready to help the team.
Best of luck Xerez and lets go back to WL3!
dwyane3 - WL 2.2
I had a big headache during the last season's restricted market - extend my main PG or not. In general, PGs are rather cheap and not really valued in the market.
The story for Kuai Chan is rather standard one - classic point guard coming in rather cheap from the drafts with a two year contract. My initial plan was to draft him, keep for two seasons and let him go.
However, what is outstanding is his super high 440+ RT that is coming from 3 key skills at 13 and 4 more important skills at 12 (8 13 5 1 9 1 5 12 12 12 13 13 12). That is not a player that anyone could develop after scouting him out. On the other hand, the player is injury-prone and he can't score consistently and I was not able to trade him away for a good offer on his second season where he was averaging 4ppg and 6 eff.
Is this performance worth paying him eye-whopping 37k per week?
Initially, I thought no way. However, my whole team is getting closer to 30 year old and is peaking. Also, I should be able to get his jumping and mid-range scoring ability to go up to 10 over the seasons as he still has a little bit of space for improvement. Will he be able to score in bunches then? No, bet if he adds a solid jump-shot, he may be able to get scoring numbers up and be a more complete player.
The beginning of the season has been strong for both Kuai Chan and the team. He is scoring 5.5 points per game, dishes out almost 6 assists per game and steals the ball twice. The efficiency has doubled up to 12 and his +/- is second best in the team at +15.
The expected balance at the end of the season is looking kinda crazy at -584.000 Eur, however, we'll find a way to make more money in the TOP16. :)

Hello,
We would like to share the latest updates on the game, the review of season 96 and what’s coming up next in BasketPulse.
Champions
World League 1.1
Some say that winning the title is much easier than securing it the following season. Last season’s winner Minnesota Timberwolves had no trouble securing the title, sweeping ★ChuanShuo★ 3-0. It’s been impressive to see the elite Minnesota Timberwolves defensive perform, allowing only 56 points per game in the finals series.
Sun Tzu claimed bronze in a very tight series against Basketball Emperor Chamberlain 3-2, well done! Interestingly, all top three spots this season have been claimed by the same three teams. Can someone break their dominance next season?
Honorato Osma of Sun Tzu has been named MVP of the top league, averaging 15 points and 16 efficiency per game. Next season is the last on his contract, has he earned a raise? :)
1. Minnesota Timberwolves. Manager: 史塔克
2. ★ChuanShuo★. Manager: chuan
3. Sun Tzu. Manager: nofixations
World Cup
Poland has hosted the World Cup and achieved their highest ever 7th spot in the WC, congratulations.
However, the spotlight has been claimed by China who had no trouble winning all the games and only Lithuania put pressure on the Chinese in the final. The final has had 22 lead changes and China has secured their 15th title in history winning 75 - 70.
Argentina crushed Taiwan 87 - 70 in the bronze medal game and stayed on the podium for the fifth tournament in the row.
Niang Āěrdélǐqí of ★ChuanShuo★ has been named MVP of the tournament averaging 20 points per game in only 17 minutes!
1. China. Manager: 史塔克
2. Lithuania. Manager: Zaidejas9
3. Argentina Manager: roberpaganini
U18 World Cup
Spain has hosted the U18 World Cup, however China has continued their dominance in the game by claiming the 16th WC title in history. They have cruised past Taiwan 90 - 76 in the final game, congratulations!
Tournament hosts Spain, led by one of the most active BP bloggers DanTitan, were close to beating China in the semis, where they lost a nail-biter by 5. They regained their momentum in the third place game against France and won 83 - 69.
One of the tournament favourite Lithuania has lost their manager and got relegated to division 2.
Sancho Rocha of Spain was named the VMP of the tournament. The player has had a strong tournament, averaging 17 points and 6 rebounds. Is he ready to make his debut in the big leagues?
1. China. Manager: 纳什
2. Taiwan. Manager: trasgame
3. Spain Manager: DanTitan

To help users understand the situation better, we have restored the event: "Offensive rebound because the player wasn't boxed out." This will be shown when an offensive rebound occurs because the defending team failed to box out opponents.
Community News
We have seen great success with the weekly article activity. A number of quality blog posts have been written by our community members sharing their experiences, for example “How do you manage your team finances?”.
We will continue this activity next season and the top writers will be rewarded as well as their posts will be shared in the game news.
The first task for the next week - the most interesting restricted market moves last season or share a thought process of signing/extending/releasing a player in the restricted market.
We are proud of our communities and some of them are especially organised and productive. Taiwan community has been the most active of all - we have received numerous articles from their members and they are very active internally, f.e. Taiwan has done a live voice broadcast for their NT friendly game against Lithuania. Because of these activities, the Taiwanese community has become one of the powerhouses in BP. Therefore, we are awarding the federation with a 15% scouting bonus.
Polish community members have been super active as well by writing the articles and publishing their own newspaper, earning them a 10% scouting bonus.
Spain and Lithuanian federations were active in writing the articles weekly and both countries co-organised the first ever BP Davis Cup for Lithuanian, Spanish and French clubs. Great initiative and well earnt 10% scouting bonus! Congratulations to France for winning the BP Davis Cup!
France federation is receiving a 5% scouting bonus for co-organising the first ever BP Davis Cup.

We wish everyone a good season!...

We wish everyone a good season!...
2024-01-14
The first ever BP Davis Cup has finished and I would like to share klinx's review of the cup. Great initiative by Šabas and all the federations participating! Have a good read!
Hi everybody, this first edition took place between Lithuania, France, and Spain. We decided to organize this contest with 3 teams from each federation. Sabas wanted to play with WL2, WL3 and WL4 teams, but unfortunately, France had no team in WL2 (And that will change with Hanam next season, congratulation to him!), so I proposed WL3, WL4 and WL5. We agreed on this, but as Spain and Lithuania had a lot of players interested, they decided to play WL2 teams against each other, and play with WL5 team against France.
The first matches were between France and Lithuania. It started very good for France federation, because Blackmamba17 won easily his match against Mantas098’s team, who collapsed after the half of the game, tiredness of his player supposed to be greatly responsible. Then alissa42 with an amazing 2nd quarter, and a solid 2nd half, took over andriuss in this second match. Last game of this first journey saw the Crazy Kouzu against PIRANIJOS, and we hoped for a perfect day with 3 wins. Unfortunately for us, and fortunately for the Lithuanian player, his team won, despite an amazing 4th quarter of Lutincompris’s team. But ekstrasensas saved the honour and won a point for his country, congrats!
Second day, the WL2 matches between Mantas3223 (ITS DAME TIME from Lithuania) and Mikecuc (CB CUCALON from Spain) took place in a very close game won by only 5 points for the Lithuanian federation member. Back in WL5 with Blackmamba17 who had to confirm his domination against the dangerous team of Laplace. That match was amazing, very close until the middle of the 3rd quarter where Mamba’s members made a small lead, and then CBBaladoni never came back.
On the third day of this competition, Lutincompris was fighting against Usandizaga, and once against, the match was really close! In the 3rd quarter, Crazy Kouzu was only leading by 2 points against the Catalonia Vikings. Then the players made a little break, and they keep it up to the end of the match, winning by a short 8 points. For the last game of this 3rd journey, alissa42 was favourite against TheFashionetty, and that match was closer than we could expected. Indeed, no team take a real advantage before the half, then Andrézieux accelerated the rhythm and won the match.
And for the last day of this Davis Cup, the WL4 match showed us a really angry andriuss after the defeat against alissa42, so he put all his anger on TheFashionetty’s team Lucifer’s Angels and blew them out with 22 points. The other games that have started this day was between Usandizaga from Spain federation Wytia for Lithuania. They won by 20 points in this last game, making Lithuanian finishing at the 2nd place of this Tournament.
France won this first BP Davis Cup, with 5 points, just in front of Lithuanian with 4 points. Congratulations to alissa42, Lutincompris and Blackmamba17 for this win. They earn 200 credits each, well deserved.
Next season we want to be stricter on the rules about teams that can play. We wish other countries to participate too, so Sabas and I (klinx) are open to DM from president federation that would like to participate to this competition. We project to have at least 6 nations to compete, that would make it really more fun. Thanks for everybody that participated, and thanks for reading....
