Plans of updating match engine

                                                                                         

Quite a long time we haven’t done any updates in the match engine and there is a reason for this.  Updating the match engine is an incredibly difficult job - mostly because we understand that the match engine will never be perfect. Some users would like to have the match engine more realistic, some want more tactical options and some want more importance of club’s strategy (bigger skills’ impact). 
And finally, in every match there is a team that loses it, thus often the easiest way is to blame the “recent changes”. So even after spending hundreds of hours, we get more negative feedback than positive.

Also a very difficult part is to plan when the real match engine of the game should be updated. We understand that our community trains players according to the current match engine.  So the community should have enough time to make changes in their roster in order to prepare for the upcoming updates. But in our case it is impossible to plan everything in advance. 
We will try to make everything as smooth as possible, but it will still be a difficult period for everyone. 

We are starting to work with the first stage right now, and further updates will depend on how much the community supports this update.

In order to have better feedback about the match engine changes - we will use the “testing engine” not only in “additional” matches, but also in friendly and even national leagues’ matches.

There are some suggestions given by the game members that we would like to have, but we can't work on them due to big costs. However, we really hope that with your help some time in the future we will have them in BasketPulse as well:
- Team chemistry
- Possibility to set tactics for specific opponent 
- Possibility to have different tactics based on results (for example, make alternative tactics if team is 10 points behind)

The list of updates is not final and probably we will add something more later.

Adding to nofixations post: Allow setting switching to different tactics based on parameters such as down by x points, or a critical player has foul trouble, etc. If you add 3 new tactics, the chances to correctly call the counter to opponent will be quite low. Base the actual changes on coaches skills -- 80 S 60 d.

It would be great if fatigue system was updated as it does not make sense 8 players are enough to finish the season without any problem, considering their health is 100%. -- 81 S 1 d.

Only 8? You can do fine with 6 players in WL1 if you have read help section around 500 times. -- 81 S 1 d.
